State Assessments
Grades three, four and five will be taking state assessments in reading and math during the month of March. On March 1, we will have an assembly in the middle school gym to award certificates to our students who exceeded standards on the state assessments last year. Interested parents and patrons are welcome to attend to show support to our students for their past accomplishments and to show encouragement for this year’s testing. For more information on this, contact the elementary office. It is helpful if parents could make doctor and dental appointments at times that do not interfere with testing. We know this isn’t always possible, but when it is, we appreciate parents’ efforts. Testing dates are noted above.
Kindergarten Round-Up
Parents of 2010-11 kindergarten students will meet with Ms. Suppes and other school personnel Monday, March 8, at 7:00 p.m. At this informational meeting, parents will learn what their child’s kindergarten day will be like and a little about the expectations for our kindergarten students. If you have a child who will be five years of age by August 31, 2010, please call the school (620-456-2966) or email Julie (
