WHAT IS FCCLA?

 

 FCCLA is a student leadership organization which promotes personal growth through Family and Consumer Sciences Education. 

Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development; creative and critical thinking; interpersonal communications; practical knowledge; and career preparation.


 

Meetings will be held on Wednesdays in the auditorium.

First meeting of 2010-2011:

    * Wed., Sept. 8th for previous members only. 

    *Wed., Sept. 15th for new members only.

    *Wed., Sept. 22nd & 29th, everyone will meet.

Member dues will be $5. 

Anyone interested in running for the Leadership Board will

 fill out a LB application ( see below) and return to Ms.

 Julius.

One of the leadership opportunities available to students relates to competitive events-Students Taking Action with Recognition.  Students first compete at the district level.  The top scorer in each event advances to the state competition in the spring.  National STAR Events are held each summer.

It is the mission of Conway Springs High School to provide the students the opportunity to master basic educational skills and the opportunity to accumulate knowledge to adapt to a changing environment, to be able to meet the rigorous requirements of colleges and universities, and to be a responsible community member.
