There are three piano festivals throughout the school year. The first is the Regional Piano Festival on February 6 at Southwestern College in Winfield. This piano festival is open to high school students only. This festival serves as a qualifying round for the State Piano Festival.
The second piano festival is the Cardinal Piano Festival on February 13, 2010. It is open to students in grades 5-12. The Cardinal Piano Festival is held at Conway Springs High School in the auditorium. The adjudicator for the day will be Christy Williams from Wichita. This piano festival is open to the public. There is no admission charge. This festival is open to all piano students in our district as well as students in the CPL league and students in surrounding communities. The third festival is the State Piano Festival held at WSU. This is for high school students who have received a "I" rating at the Regional Festival.
